Pokémon GO: Kaguron Counter Guide – With these 20 counters you make the raid boss flat
Kaguron has these weaknesses: The Ultra Beast Kaguron is of the Flying and Steel types. This makes the raid boss particularly vulnerable to fire and electric attacks. Therefore, you should definitely use Pokémon of these types to finish off Kaguron.

Top 20 counters against Kaguron: The top 20 counters against Kaguron are also Fire-type and Electric-type Pokemon. In addition to choosing the right type, trainers should make sure that the Pokémon have learned the appropriate moves to make catching Kaguron a breeze. How many trainers do you need: There should be at least three of you to defeat Kaguron. If you are still a little less experienced, then you should start the raid with even more trainers. It is then advisable to go in fours or fives in order to win the fight safely.
Pokemon GO: Kaguron Counter Guide – Best Raid Boss Stats
These are the stats of Kaguron: Kaguron can reach the following stats in Pokémon GO:
- Max WP (at level 50): 3,507
- Attack: 207
- Defense: 199
- CP: 219
Kaguron’s stats aren’t exactly outstanding. For the Super and Master Leagues, Kaguron is a lower midfield attacker.
This is how many WP you need for 100% IV: To get a Kaguron with the best stats in Pokemon Go, the post-raid Ultra Beast needs to be as close to 1,772 WP as possible. If a weather boost is active, the value should be even higher at around 2,216 WP. If you encounter a Kaguron with these stats in the raid, it will have the perfect IV.
The best attacks for Kaguron: Unfortunately, Kaguron isn’t a particularly good attacker in PvE, since it can’t focus on one type with any attack combo. The new ultra beast could only be interesting for PvP battles. We recommend the following attacks:
- Instant Attack: air cut
- Charged Attack: iron skull
Is the raid worth it? Since Niantic introduces a completely new Pokémon in Pokémon GO with the ultra beast Kaguron, a look at the raids can’t hurt. However, Kaguron is not a particularly strong Pokémon and its attacks are not promising either. So Kaguron is only worthwhile for the Pokédex for the time being. In September 2022 you can still encounter other Pokémon in the Pokémon GO Raid Hours.
Pokémon GO: Katagami Counter Guide – With these 20 counters you make the raid boss flat
Katagami has these weaknesses: Katagami is an Ultra Beast and belongs to the Steel and Grass types. This makes it vulnerable to the Fight type, and it even has a double weakness to Fire-type attacks. That’s why it’s definitely worth attacking Pokémon with Fire in Katagami.

Top 20 counters against Katagami: The top 20 counters against Katagami all use Fire-type attacks, since the Ultra Beast has a double weakness there. Trainers should therefore make sure that their chosen Pokémon also masters the listed attacks. These are the 20 best counters against Katagami:
Reshiram | Fire Tooth, Heat Fever |
Ho Oh | Incinerate, Cleansing Fire++ |
Lavados | Fire Whirl, Heat Fever |
Flampivian | Fire Tooth, Heat Fever |
Entei | Fire Tooth, Heat Fever |
Heatran | Fire Whirl, Flamethrower |
Blair | Fire whirl, tan cannonade |
Flambirex | Embers, blaze cannonade |
Charizard | Fire whirl, tan cannonade |
skeleton | Fire Whirl, Heat Fever |
Hisuian Arcani | Firefang, Flamethrower |
Victini | Quick Attack, V-Generator |
arcane | Firefang, Flamethrower |
Tornupto | Incinerate, tan cannonade |
Panferno | Fire whirl, tan cannonade |
flamara | Fire whirl, heat rush |
magbrant | Fire whirl, fire blast |
fennexis | Fire Whirl, Flamethrower |
Brutalanda | Firefang, Firestorm |
Solgaleo | Fire Whirl, Flamethrower |
How many trainers do you need: The Ultra Beast Katagami shouldn’t be too much of a challenge for you. If you are experienced, you can already survive the fight with two people. For beginners in Pokémon GO, however, we recommend that at least four people start the raid.
Pokémon GO: Katagami Counters Guide – The Raid Boss’s Best Stats
These are the stats of Katagami: Katagami can reach the following stats in Pokémon GO:
- Max WP (at level 50): 4.156
- Attack: 323
- Defense: 182
- HP: 139
Katagami can shine with an extremely high attack value and is therefore among the strongest monsters right after its introduction in Pokémon GO. However, Katagami’s defense is relatively low and therefore the Pokémon is unfortunately not particularly resilient.
This is how many WP you need for 100% IV: In order to get a Katagami with the perfect stats, you should make sure that the Ultra Beast is as close to 2,101 WP as possible after the raid battle. If a weather bonus is active, your example should have 2,626 WP. This way you can make sure you get a katagami with the perfect IV.

The best attacks for Katagami: Katagami can be extremely useful in PvE due to its very high attack value, because with the right attack combo you get a very strong plant attacker. We recommend the following moves for Katagami:
- Instant Attack: razor blade
- Charged Attack: leaf blade
Is the raid worth it? Katagami is an all new Ultra Beast in Pokémon GO and the raid with the monster is definitely worth it. Because you have the chance to get a Pokémon with a particularly high attack value. Its attacks can also make it extremely useful against Water-type Pokémon. In September 2022, more events in Pokémon GO are waiting for you.
