Digimon Survive is a mix of visual novel and Strategy RPG. In addition to tactical Digimon battles, you click through numerous dialogues and have to make important decisions. In the guide you will learn useful tips & tricks that will answer the most important questions at the beginning of the adventure.
Every decision counts
There are a lot of decisions to be made in Digimon Survive. In the visual novel part, numerous conversations and arguments with your companions and partner Digimon await you. In these dialogues you can continue process of the story determine, for example, by specifying which path you will take next.
Your decisions not only influence the course of the story, but also affect your karma and the affection for the respective target character. Both values can be changed in the menu under “profile” be viewed.
the affection determines how much the corresponding character supports you in the fights. Karma is a special value system that determines, among other things, the digitation of your partner. There are three types of karma associated with three major Digimon types.
Karma types and dialogue options
Harmony Karma

If you want to earn Harmony Karma, you must be careful to provide understanding and helpful answers as much as possible. Harmony decisions are usually pacifistic in nature and try to keep the group together. File Digimon are generally peaceful Digimon that have support or healing abilities.

Decisions that increase your morale are mostly unselfish in nature and characterized by a strong sense of justice. Contrary to the pacifist harmony path, moral decisions are about fighting evil. Serum Digimon are strong warriors who fight relentlessly against Virus Digimon.

Fervor Karma is obtained when you make selfish and destructive decisions, ignore other people’s feelings, and leave them alone with their problems. Almost all of the great villains in the Digimon universe are Virus Digimon: from demonic hell lords to skeletal dinosaurs. If you want to have an evil Digimon, you have to increase your fervor value.
Recruit new Digimon
In addition to your partner Digimon, Digimon Survive has over 100 different wild Digimon that you can include in your party. In order to win a new Digimon for your group, you must befriend it in free combat. Free fights can be found anywhere on the map and can be repeated any number of times. On the world map you can see which Digimon you face in free combat.
After you have started a fight, you are not allowed to fight the opposing Digimon, but must select the option “Talk” Select. Now select the Digimon you want to befriend. In the following dialog you have to choose the right answers and fill at least three of the six bars that you see at the top of the screen.
Each correct answer fills one or even two bar on. If you give an incorrect answer, you lose a bar. If your plan fails, the opposing Digimon gets angry, receives a fat damage buff and is no longer open to conversations. Open the menu and select “Repeat” to start the battle over.
Digitization – you need to know that
Partner Digimon
The digitation of partner Digimon is linked to your progress within the story. As you advance in the story, you unlock new Digitations levels for your partners. Your partner’s Digitation is not permanently and costs SP. Within a fight you always have the opportunity to digitize to a higher level. If you run out of SP, you digitize back to rookie level.
Wild Digimon
Unlike your partner Digimon, the Digitation of wild Digimon permanent. If you digitize a wild Digimon to champion level, it stays champion level. In order to digitize a wild Digimon, you need so-called “Enlightment Slabs”. The plaques can be found anywhere. There are three types of plaques that will digitize you to champion level, ultra level, and mega level.
Battle Tips: How to win every battle
