WoW: Data miners discovered evidence of controller support

The MMORPG has been on the market for 18 years and, apart from numerous expansions, is not much happening in the game. The graphics haven’t made much progress and World of Warcraft is still only intended for PC players.

At the end of November, Dragonflight, the latest expansion for the game, is due to appear and many fans hope that Blizzard will too a big step towards consoles power.

Already in September data miners discovered in Dragonflight Indications of official controller support for the PlayStation, the Xbox and the Switch. Many agree – a console port would be important and that includes Twitch star Asmongold (source: Stan).

In a video he recently responded to the rumor that WoW was coming to consoles and it quickly became clear that it was for him great due to the steadily falling player numbers would. It must be made available to a larger mass. A good example would be Final Fantasy XIV – the game was released for the PC in 2010, but is now also available for the PS4 and PS5 and has been very successful with it.

Asmongold is also thinking further into the future. The deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard is so far in the bag. After graduation, big brands like Overwatch, Starcraft and just as well World of Warcraft to Microsoft and then something could also be done with the game.

“If they were able to bring WoW to console, I think it would give Microsoft more incentive to continue to evolve WoW and make it better,” the streamer said.

Blizzard has not yet officially commented on this.

Asmongold would be a fan of a console port:
