Coordinate your attack
Since Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is intended to be a multiplayer experience, you will only achieve success as a team. A coordinated approach is therefore of the utmost importance.
That starts with the use of the PKE meter on. The useful tool not only detects the hiding places of the spirits and their dimension rifts, but can also stun your opponents for a short time, drive them out of possessed objects and people or make them vulnerable for a few seconds.
The downside is that the change between the PKE meter and the proton pack takes some time – and by then the ghost has usually already fled. Therefore, you should see that one person tracks down the ghost and another has the gun loaded.
It is therefore advisable in teams of two people to go on a search. Ideally, you share the tasks: one team looks for the ghost, the other team the rifts – because your opponent respawns there after you have caught him.
Share the Fang Ray
Crossing the streams was in theory a very stupid idea in the first Ghostbusters movie – even if in the end it could destroy Gozer the Gozerian. In Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed you can’t avoid this method.
This is because the player who gets the ghost first with his proton pack, is also the one who dictates the movement to the trap. Unfortunately, the weapons have the disadvantage that they quickly overheat and then fail for a short time.
To avoid the ghost then fleeing again, players must give up the adversary in turn. This works when another ghost hunter throws his laser beams at the ghost with a time delay.
As a result, however, another player now determines in which direction the prisoner goes. That’s what it takes a clear communication who now takes over the beam and to whom the trap must be thrown. If you don’t do this, you run the risk that all the devices will overheat and the ghost can disappear again.
Don’t forget where your equipment wagon is
Sounds banal, but it’s not: The location of your equipment wagon is important! You can find more items here and, more importantly, new traps and secondary gadgets. So always keep in mind where the supplies are. Otherwise you will lose valuable time searching.
Finally, ghosts have the ability to destroy your traps. The only option for the ghost hunters is to get appropriate supplies. That will be above all a real problem on the larger maps, since the opponent has enough time to expel civilians or engage in other practical jokes.
Another important reason for the location are the secondary items, that you find there. You always have the opportunity to upgrade and adapt to the spirit’s playing style. Take this chance.
Calm down the NPCs
Ghosts only have one job: they have to haunt a place. Therefore, it is also their task Frightening and fleeing civilians. As a trained ghost hunter with strong nerves, it’s your job to calm them down. Once the building’s owners and employees vacate the field, the spirit has won.
To prevent this, you must make them understand that everything is fine. Talk to a fleeing NPC and trigger the activated quicktime event to better protect them against future scares.
You can give this type of shield to the civilians even before they’ve become skittish. Just speak up and make sure that you in the green area by the spinning wheel is located – so the spirit has it much more difficult from the beginning.
Collects experience points
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed uses experience points, allowing you to level up your ghostbuster and more importantly items or unlock new objects.
You get the most experience points after completing a match. Depending on whether you were victorious and how well you did in the ghost hunt, there are sometimes more or less XP.
One Another lucrative source of income from experience pointse are the daily quests and side quests. The latter work like a kind of contract that you enter into and therefore have to achieve certain goals. Since only one side quest can be active at a time, you should think carefully about which one you want to tackle. Quests go through multiple stages before they are considered complete. In return, massive experience points beckon for your ghost hunter.
Besides, you should Spore, mold and fungus samples pick up. They’re easy to miss on a map, but will give you a one-time bonus of 10,000 experience points if you’ve picked up enough in your collection. It’s definitely worth it for that.
