In God of War Ragnarök has an angry Draugr warrior ripped holes in reality, to terrorize the inhabitants of the nine worlds. In the Born of Fire side quest, your task is to find them and seal all the holes.
Tips for fighting the hateful Draugr warriors
The hateful Draugr warrior’s main characteristics are hers aggressiveness and speed. She is accompanied by allied Draugr in most battles. However, the size of the fighting area differs in each of the six fights. Aside from that, the fights are very similar and their attack patterns don’t change.
In each of the fights, focus on the first accompanying draugr, before you turn to the hateful. The Hateful is very fast and needs your full attention. In addition, their companions will otherwise constantly attack you from the side or from behind.
The Draugr Warrior primarily attacks in melee combat, but also throws fire projectiles. She often uses quick, unblockable attacks. Sometimes she also fills up with fire – in this case you throw your axe on them to ignite the fire. Make sure there is enough distance between you and the warrior, otherwise you will get the explosion – it can be deadly on higher difficulties.
What do I get as a reward for the Born of Fire favor?
If you plug these holes and fight the warrior you will receive a Chaos Flame as a reward, which improves the Blades of Chaos by one level. So it’s worth tackling this side quest early on. On top of that, you get experience points, hacksilver and improvements for your weapons for fighting the hateful ones.
Where to find all Draugr Holes in God of War Ragnarök?
The six holes of the Draugr warriors are on the worlds Svartalfheim, Alfheim, Vanaheim and Midgard distributed. We have marked the positions of the holes in the respective worlds on the attached screenshots.
Svartalfheim
In Svartalheim you will meet the Draugr warrior twice on.
The battle at the watchtower
You first meet the Hateful in Svartalfheim on the island with the watchtower. You can explore this area once you have passed through the dwarven settlement and before you get to it Durlin goes. The Draugr Hole is on the western side of the island.
At this hole she is from two normal draugr supported with swords. First deal with the two and then fight the hateful near the hole – the area is large enough that you have enough space to dodge.
The fight in the apple core

alfheim
After the main quest “Gróa’s Secret” the Desert of Alfheim for you. In this desert area you will find the hole on a rock formation protruding from the sand.

Vanaheim
In Vanaheim, the Draugr warrior has two holes open.
Battle in the abandoned village
The first hole is in the jungle of Vanaheim in a cave by the old village. You traverse this area during the Main Quest “The Reckoning”. You can find the hole in the cave in the rock face on the western edge of the village.
In this fight, she is assisted by a normal Draugr. Exit the cave as soon as it appears and lures them over the bridge into the village. On the one hand you have more space there and on the other hand there is an old tree that you can rip out and throw at them.
battle in the crater
The second hole in Vanaheim can be found in the crater – an area that you can only access after completing the side quest “trail of survival” opens up. Also, you must first complete the Return of the River side quest. The crater then fills with water and you can take a boat to the island with the Draugr hole.
Here she will accompanied by a heavy draugr wielding a hammer. Focus on him first because he poses a real threat with the Hateful due to the limited space. Be especially wary of his heavy attacks. You can also lure the Hateful to the pier where you have a little more room to dodge.
