Battery for dell n4010- alternative to J1KND
Hello, I have a dell n4010 with battery J1KND. Unfortunately the J1KND is not available in my area. Can I use alternative battery for this? Do you have any recommendation for it?

Hi UserJS,
Thanks for posting.
The Inspiron™ N4010 system is offered with a 6-cell battery. The battery is system specific and is not interchangeable with other system batteries. The battery offered is as follows:
The part numbers for the US systems are:
JXFRP
8NH55
6P6PN
GK2X6
7XFJJ
J4XDH
W7H3N
4YRJH
965Y7

Hello Robert,
I have a similar battery compatibility question.
I have an Inspiron N4010 which I bought in Sept. 2010. I have been getting 'consider replacing your battery' on the battery icon in the SYSTRAY.
I ordered a new battery by chat from Dell, based on my service tag # DFDNP61. The one they sent me is a 9-cell YXVK2, 90 Wh.
The one in my laptop is a 4YRJH.
The new one fits nicely into the battery tray except it protrudes about 1/2 inch under the display.
The Inspiron Setup Guide on Page 83 lists both 6 cell and 9 cell batteries.
Can I use the YXVK2 in my laptop? Is the AC adapter compatable?
Regards, Joseph
