Rumors about PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S Pro models have been circulating for a long time. But now there should be facts, because an insider reports that the new models are already in circulation.
PlayStation and Xbox: Pro models already in the works?
It’s hard to believe, after all, many still don’t have the console they want – but both the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S are around two years old. In the fast-moving times, the technology used is soon considered obsolete, even if both consoles are good enough to to meet the demands of the gaming world for a while longer.
Nonetheless, it’s not uncommon for a few years after release with a Pro version an improved console comes onto the market. Rumors have also been circulating for a while regarding the latest generation of PlayStation and Xbox, and these are now intensifying.
Dev kits are said to already be in circulation for both consoles. These are Prototypes given to developersin order to be able to adapt their games to the new possibilities.
The information comes from the website of industry insider Tom Henderson, whose leaks have increasingly turned out to be true in the past. He’s referring to Rockstar Games insider Tez2 – he too has predicted some things correctly in the past (Source: Insider Gaming).

PlayStation 5 Pro: Not to be confused with the new/old model?
While Tez2 is quite certain that their information is about the Pro models, Tom Henderson (Insider Gaming) still doubts it. According to him, it could just be the PlayStation 5 with a removable drive. This console is intended to replace the current systems in the future and be sold at a similar price. Sony plans to produce more than 30 million consoles in fiscal 2023, with the detachable PS5 accounting for more than half. There is nothing official about the rumors yet. We will keep you up to date.
