Passively level weapons – how it works
Shoot confirmed
This method works with all weapons, but is particularly useful for leveling up difficult-to-level weapons like rocket launchers or knives. If you collect a Dogtag in the Kill Confirmed game mode, you always get Weapon XP for the currently equipped weapon.
So, for example, always switch to a rocket launcher just before picking up a dogtag to avoid it to level passively – without you having to do kills with it.
Decoys give Weapon XP
You can also use the decoy grenades to level up weapons very well. Equip the decoy grenades in the tactical slot and choose the additional tactical equipment as a basic extraso you always spawn with two decoy grenades.
Throw the grenades towards the enemies on the map every time you spawn. Killing enemies near your decoy grenades by teammates grants you XP for your equipped weapon. This Weapon level trick combines perfectly with the “Kill Confirmed” method.
Invasion Mode: Farm bots
In the “Invasion” mode, you not only fight enemy players, but also numerous AI opponents, whose kills also give Weapon XP. At the beginning of a match, hole up as close as possible to the enemy spawn and take care of the numerous bots that appear there at regular intervals. So you level up your weapons very quickly and without much resistance.

Co-op mission: 2 player weapon leveling trick
The following level trick only works with a second player and not with all weapons in the game. Starts the Co-op Mission “Defenders: Mount Zaya” with a friend, both choose the medic kit and grab one of the available weapons in the camp. You can level the following weapons in this mission:
- Bryson 800 (Shotgun)
- Kastov 545 (assault rifle)
- M4 (assault rifle)
- Minibak (MP)
- P890 (pistol)
- Rapp H (LMG)
- RPG-7 (rocket launcher)
- Signal 50 (sniper rifle)
- TAQ-M (DMR)
- Vaznek-9K (MP)
Go to the edge of the play area. A player lets the “Return to battle area” message kill and then revive by the other player. The player who revives the other player gains Weapon XP for the currently equipped weapon for reviving.
You can repeat this as often as you want and in changing roles and quickly level up all the weapons available in the mission. thanks to the equipped medic kits revival is faster.
