How to unlock gold camouflages in CoD: Modern Warfare 2?
The good news first: It’s much easier in Modern Warfare 2 Unlock gold camouflages for weapons than in the previous CoD parts. Because you no longer have to unlock all standard camouflages individually for each weapon. Instead, each weapon offers up to four camouflages to unlock. Once unlocked with this weapon, you can use the camouflages on any weapon.

Where can I find the camo challenges?
Go to the equipment menu, choose a weapon and opens the weaponsmith. Then select the “Modify” category from the menu at the top and click on “Stealth”. All camo challenges are displayed here.
How to get new camo challenges?
You unlock the camouflage challenges by level up a weapon. Once you have reached the appropriate level with the weapon, the challenge becomes accessible. These mostly consist of making kills in a certain way.
Example: All camo challenges for the Kastov 762 (assault rifle)

Unlock gold camouflage
If you have managed up to four camo challenges for a weapon, you can take on the Gold Camo Challenge make. With the Kastov 762, for example, you have to get three kills in one life and repeat the whole thing ten times.
Unlock Platinum, Polyatomic and Orion – Here’s how
However, the gold camouflage is not the end of the story. There is three more special camouflages for each weapon:
- platinum: You must unlock multiple gold camouflages in the same weapon category – the number differs depending on the weapon category.
- polyatomic: You must complete 51 Platinum Challenges.
- Orion: You must complete 51 Polyatomic Challenges.
