Goodbye loot boxes, hello Battle Pass. Overwatch 2 is a Free2Play game and relies on a Battle Pass. We’ll show you how to level up as quickly as possible and unlock the various ranks.
How is the Battle Pass structured in Overwatch 2?
The Battle Pass in Overwatch 2 consists of a total of 80 levels. If you buy the Premium Pass (cost: around 10 euros), you will unlock a cosmetic item at each rank. With the free Battle Pass, you only unlock cosmetic items at a fraction of the levels.
You also get the new heroine Kiriko in the free Battle Pass at level 55, so you don’t have to spend any money to keep up with the other players. According to Blizzard, there should also be options unlock heroesafter a Season’s Battle Pass has expired.
How do I get experience points?
You earn experience points by completing a match. In addition, there are challenges that bring you more XP. There are daily, weekly, seasonal, lifetime and challenges linked to heroes. Most of the time you have to meet very specific criteria – for example, achieve a certain number of eliminations as a certain hero.
keep those active challenges always in the back of your mind and review them before a match starts so that you can gradually complete them.
What is the best way to collect experience points?
the Daily Challenges rotate every 24 hours and there are always six pieces. Caution: You only get XP for three of the six Battle Pass challenges. Check out the challenges each day and then decide which ones you want to tackle. It makes the most sense to either take the easiest ones or the ones you can do the fastest.
Each daily task gives 3,000 points. So overall, this way you can farm up to 9,000 points per day.
Once you’ve completed three daily challenges, you can move on to the weekly and seasonal ones. The weekly challenges bring you up to 5,000 experience points but are correspondingly more time-consuming. You can complete Seasonal Challenges while the season is active, but they usually only give you a maximum of 1,000 points.
How do I get up to 20 percent more experience points?
Of course, a team-based shooter like Overwatch 2 is more fun with friends. But that’s not the only advantage: For playing together you get up to 20 percent more experience points. In combination with the challenges mentioned above, you will collect a lot of points in a very short time.
