Does Saints Row really need an RTX 3080Ti? The system requirements
Saints Row has its beautiful and its ugly moments. Desert landscapes in particular can impress with the right mood lighting. In contrast, the buildings look quite poor in detail.
The open-world banging is on for that problem-free on older systems. With an Intel i3 or an AMD Ryzen 3 and a GTX 970 or Radeon RX 480 you can get the game running in Full HD with 30 frames. And you don’t have to do without all graphics settings.
On the other hand, do you want to 4K at 60 FPS on Ultra play, the developer Volition recommends at least a GeForce RTX 3080Ti or a Radeon RX 6800XT. And we can say right away: You don’t need that.
For the performance test we have a Razer Blade 17 Pro with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070, an Intel i7 and 16 GB RAM used. The game runs fine on Ultra in 4K with ray tracing enabled and at least 60 frames. Hardly more than 3 GB of VRAM was taken up.
So if you have an RTX of the 30s generation, put it before the start of the game all settings to the maximum and look at the result. If you are still missing a few frames, you can start optimizing the graphics settings.
