We’ll tell you what you need for special cargo missions, how to complete them and whether they’re worth it.

GTA Online: Special Cargo Guide – what do you need for the missions?
What is Special Cargo? For special cargo missions, you as the CEO have to buy boxes in GTA Online and then bring them to a warehouse. From there you can then sell the boxes for a profit. To do this, you must accept a corresponding order and deliver the crates. This method is great for making quick money, especially at the beginning of GTA Online.
You need this for special cargo missions: So that you can complete special cargo missions in GTA Online, you need some real estate. You need a CEO office and at least one warehouse. But you should have two warehouses – we’ll explain why in a moment. You can only complete Special Cargo missions in GTA Online in public lobbies.
- Purchase a CEO Office in GTA Online (via the Dynasty8 Executive homepage).
Buy the cheapest office Maze Bank West for $1 million, you just need access to the laptop. - Once you have bought the CEO’s office, sit down at the laptop and buy a warehouse.
- You have the choice between small, medium and large warehouses, a small warehouse will do for starters.
If you have a little more money on the high edge, buy a medium or large warehouse.
The most important thing is that your first warehouse is close to your CEO’s office so that you have short distances. - Buy a second warehouse once you have enough money. Here it is worth saving on a medium or large one.
That’s why you need two warehouses: If you have bought boxes in a warehouse, you must then wait for a cooldown of five minutes. You can only buy new special cargo after the time has expired. For this reason you should buy two warehouses. So you can constantly complete new special cargo missions in GTA Online and fill two warehouses at the same time.

How to complete special cargo missions: If you have the CEO office and a warehouse, you can complete special cargo missions in GTA Online. Go to the laptop in the office and select one of your purchased warehouses. You can buy boxes there. The more crates you buy at the same time, the higher the price per crate will be. But don’t let that put you off, because the more boxes you deliver in the end, the more your profit will increase.
Have you bought the special cargo in GTA Online, a vehicle appears on the map in which the boxes are stored. Your mission is to get the vehicle and drive it to your warehouse. Depending on the mission, you may also have to shoot down a helicopter to get the special cargo. In this case you have to deliver the boxes individually. To buy new crates, you have to go back to your CEO’s office. If you own a Terrorbyte, you can save yourself the hassle and start the mission on the go.

How to sell your special cargo: When your warehouse is filled, you need to sell the special cargo in GTA Online to make money. The more crates you sell at once, the higher the value per crate. If you’re playing solo, though, there’s something you need to be aware of. The more special cargo you want to sell at once, the more vehicles will spawn that you have to deliver. So other players can simply shoot down the vehicles you are not driving and destroy the special cargo.
- 1-9 crates – 1 vehicle
- 10-29 crates – up to 2 vehicles
- From 30 boxes – up to 3 vehicles
If you are solo in GTA Online, we recommend that you sell no more than nine crates at a time. If you have a few friends with you, you can increase the number.

How much money do you make with it? How much profit you make with special cargo in GTA Online depends on how many boxes you deliver at once. We calculate this here as an example with a delivery of nine boxes. We assume that you bought three boxes three times.

In the quickest way, you need between 20 and 30 minutes for three missions to collect and one to sell the special cargo in GTA Online. The numbers are not the highest. For example, they can’t compete with the insane method of a player who made $100 million in two weeks in GTA Online. However, special cargo missions in GTA Online are extremely easy to complete and therefore always a good way to accumulate small amounts of money quickly.
