The Cycle: Frontier is a PvEvP extraction shooter in a sci-fi setting. As a so-called prospector, you earn your living by collecting valuable resources on the destroyed planet Fortuna 3. To do this, you land on the surface, collect what you can get, and finally escape with an extraction ship. But the deadly alien fauna and the strong competition can throw a spanner in the works and make you lose everything. Our guide will help you to succeed!
How do I prepare for a mission in The Cycle: Frontier?
It doesn’t matter whether you team up with friends or go hunting alone: In The Cycle: Frontier, if you die on the planet’s surface, you will always lose any items that you don’t have in your security pockets carries. You have a total of three slots in these security bags. That’s why you always have to weigh things up before you jump: If you take as much equipment as possible with you, you’ll be better prepared, but if you die, you’ll lose all the valuable items again.
You can counteract this by equipping yourself just before the jump assure leaves. If you die, you will then be refunded the price of the item. With the equipment recovery insurance, you even get the entire item refunded.

Be careful when traversing the game world
The two maps in The Cycle: Frontier consist of partly very uneven terrain and there are many places where you can slip. The fall damage is merciless and even a fall from a low building can mean death.
Sometimes you will too storms and meteor showers are allowed to admire. Meteors sometimes contain very valuable items, but if a meteor hits you, it can mean death. Storms, on the other hand, can kill you with just a flash. So if you find yourself in the middle of a storm or meteor shower, seek cover immediately.
Be as inconspicuous as possible
Especially in the first hours of play you will still find weak equipment and little money have for insurance. Therefore, avoid fights against players.
Don’t wear colorful skins on raids, otherwise you’ll be much easier to spot from a distance. You can wear the skins in the marketplace, but it’s best to switch to the for the missions Default skinswhich are mostly green or gray in color.
Your character breathes relatively loudly and can be heard by other players. If you do have an encounter and you try to escape, you shouldn’t run until your stamina is almost used up. Your character will then breathe even louder and is therefore easier to locate. Better try to hide somewhere and hold out until the danger is over.
Fill the security bags
The three spaces in the security pockets should be used for particularly valuable items such as Key Cards and Quest Items be reserved. As soon as you find one of these items, put it in the security bag immediately. You never know if it’s around the next corner a sniper lurks, who will kill you immediately. Losing a key card because of something like this is really frustrating.
How to survive an extraction in The Cacle: Frontier?
In The Cycle: Frontier, you don’t have anything firmly in your pocket until you get back to the space station. You only get the items that you find on a mission and without dying take away by extraction. To do this, you must request an extraction ship. But be careful: nearby enemy players will hear the approach and landing of the noisy aircraft!
Take smoke grenades with you
Always make sure you have an extraction point free from opponents is before you call the extraction spaceship. As soon as it’s there, you obviously want to jump in as quickly as possible. However, as long as the spaceship has not yet taken off, you can be killed at any time and lose your items. Hide at a good hiding place and throw smoke grenades into the ship as soon as it opens its hatches. You make it difficult for potential opponents to spot and shoot you.
Just before the spaceship takes off, you jump on board. You can’t completely avoid the risk this way, but at least you can reduce significantly.
When should I request an extraction in The Cycle: Frontier?
An extraction is worthwhile in The Cycle: Frontier if you find even one particularly valuable item, such as a very rare key card. If your security bags are full or the item is too heavy for it, it’s worth considering requesting an extraction. It’s always better to start another raid right away than lose a rare resource.
What do I do with all my loot?
You will find a lot of junk on Fortuna 3, but it will bring you money. After each match, go to the shop and sell any superfluous items. But doesn’t sell any legendary items – even if at first glance they don’t seem to serve any other purpose. You may need them for faction missions or even to produce better equipment.
