What are decks?

For each fight you need a deck. This consists of eight cards to attack with. There are currently 107 cards (July Update 2022) available to you, which are divided into the categories Unit, Spell, Building and Champion. You need a good mix of attack and defense to be successful in a fight.

To the left of the main menu you will find a category called “Collection”. There you can store up to ten battle decks for your battles. To do this, tap on a card below and press the yellow “Select” button. Once the deck is full, you must discard a card in order to add a new one.

Select Meta Decks

Meta decks are decks that adapt to the realities of the game. As a rule, every month a so-called balance change performed. Certain cards are either strengthened or weakened. Sometimes both happen, for example attack damage decreases but speed increases.

The meta decks take advantage of this and have the new better cards with a setting to match, so the chance of winning is very high. Therefore, the best decks are not necessarily those with large units like Electro Giant or Golem, but rather those that currently offer the best attack and defense units.

Of course, this can be very frustrating, especially when you’re playing the same deck four times in a row and can’t fight back. Therefore, always look at the globe at the top right of the info “News”, the balance changes and the boost card(s) of the month in the card collection.

Best Decks: Golem Deck, Goblin Barrel Deck, and Spam Decks

Of course, there are also certain decks that are simply the perennial favourites. They are often built very “unfairly” because the opponent is forced into defense. The fun of the game suffers, but it is very practical for the trophy success.

Golem deck

The Golem deck comes in handy when you just want to get crowns. Because by placing the golem on the bridge, you always get at least one crown over the course of the game. At the latest when you have torn down the first tower, you only have to put the golem in the bend between the two remaining towers to get the next one.

The night witch supports the golem on the ground and chases the bats over the golem. As a result, they are not attacked and can cause additional damage.

Elixir Golem deck

This deck is especially useful for overrunning your opponent. Since the elixir golem only requires three elixirs, it is very cheap and usually always arrives at the tower. The disadvantage is that the opponent gets elixir from the destruction, but you can counteract it.

Place the healer directly behind it, or even two with the help of the mirror, which will permanently heal the elixir golem. In addition, a ranged fighter such as the magic archer or an air unit with area damage, such as the baby dragon, is recommended.

With the tornado and the fireball you can place all enemy units in one spot and cause significant damage.

Schweini Valkyrie deck

This deck has been a success for many years. The Valkyrie is sent in front and the pig rider is placed directly behind it. This pushes the Valkyrie forward and gives the rider cover. Since you are very vulnerable at this point, it is advisable to take a building like the goblin hut with you.

The rest of the cards should be area-based, like Executioner, Witch, Mage, or Minion Horde. Also, a spell doesn’t harm to either assist attack or maintain defense (Frost, Fire, Rage, Bang).

Princess Goblin Barrel Deck

One of the most annoying spam decks is this one. Because you lure the enemy out of the low spells and troops and he stands there helplessly because, unlike you, he does not have enough elixir. For example, use the princess to lure out the wood, then place the goblin barrel and then the mirrored goblin barrel on the tower.

With a high-level rocket, you can not only deal massive damage to the tower, but also destroy many troops in one hit.

La Loon deck

The La Loon deck consists of two main components, Lava Dog and Balloon. The lava dog is used as a tank and the balloon is placed directly behind it. Since the units are concentrating on the lava dog, the balloon can go to the tower in peace. In addition, a building is always taken along, which serves as a distraction.

Most of the time, the remaining troops are purely flying units or spells, so sooner or later the enemy will run out of air defense.
