There are many different character classes in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, each with different abilities and techniques. You get new classes through powerful heroes – these are special characters that you have to recruit beforehand through a special hero mission.

Heroes are special characters that you recruit as the game progresses and add to your group. Unlike other party members, you cannot control the hero in your party. Only one hero can be active at a time, acting as the seventh party member.

How do I unlock a new class?

Every hero owns one unique character class. The class system in the game allows each party member to learn new character classes. In order to switch to a new hero class, you must first have unlocked it. You achieve this by fighting as many battles with the hero as possible.

All Heroes & Classes in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Ethel

  • Chapter: 3
  • class: Lightning Fencer
  • hero mission: courage and gratitude

You will get your first heroine automatically if you follow the story in chapter 3. However, Ethel is only available to you temporarily, as she will be summoned to the castle at the end of the chapter. The lightning fencer fast attacks usually have additional buffs or cause bleeding.

Valdi

  • Chapter: 3
  • class: War Healer
  • hero mission: Friend of all Levniss

After leaving Colony 4, you come to the Fornis area. You also automatically unlock Valdi if you follow the story in Fornis. The war healer is a tremendously efficient healer class that has very powerful area heals has.

Zeon

If you have freed Colony Gamma in Aetia, you can select the corresponding heroic mission with a question mark symbol in the western Alfeto Valley Find. Grey

Isurd

Juniper

  • Chapter: 4

Juniper recruits you automatically and cannot be missed. In Chapter 4 you come to the mysterious Maktha Forest, where you must complete the heroic mission in order to continue in the story. This will turn that on too Special Talent “Zipline” free.

Ashera

The heroic mission can be found just outside the gates of colony 11. A Champion has excellent defenses and good techniques for attracting hostility.

Alexandria

The heroic mission can be found relatively early in Chapter 3. Near the stone gate, on Elaice Street, you will be attacked by Agnus soldiers. The next quest step takes you to the Colony of Ioata. However, the enemies here are all above level 40, so the quest cannot possibly be completed in Chapter 3. Return later to tackle the heroic mission.

Monica

  • Chapter: 5
  • class: Lost Vanguard
  • hero mission: Vandham’s legacy

Once in town, you must ask around for rumors and then discuss them with your group members. This is the only way you can find the corresponding heroic mission. The Vanguard can create powerful barrierswhich protect other party members from harm.

fiona

  • Chapter: 5
  • class: standard bearer
  • hero mission: dream and reality

Once in the Cadensia region, you can explore the Erythia Sea by ship. In the northwest at shell rock beach you will find the heroic mission. A standard bearer is not only good at healing, but also has a number of useful group buffs.

triton

  • Chapter: 5
  • class: Soul Controller
  • hero mission: Men of the Sea

The heroic mission can also be found in the Erythia Sea, this time to the east at the Ishan travel point. The Soul Controller is possibly the most versatile class in the entire game. Techniques and abilities are obtained here by killing unique monsters. In return, you unlock a broad repertoire of different techniques.

Ghondor

  • Chapter: 5

Ghondor you recruit automatically in the fifth chapter of the main story, there is no heroic mission in this case. As an attacker, the martial artist knows how to constantly throw punches at his opponents.

Miyabi

  • Chapter: 6
  • class: Troubadour
  • hero mission: Subplot: million

Miyabi also cannot be missed. You recruit them automatically during Chapter 6. The Troubadour is one special healer classthat puts focus on speed. With his abilities, he can speed up the recharge rate of all techniques.

Cammuravi

  • Chapter: 6
  • class: Warlord
  • hero mission: twist of fate

After recruiting Miyabi, a new question mark icon will appear at the Colony Omega. Examine the spot to get the heroic mission. The warlord is an attacker who is strengthened by each enemy attack.

No.7 Segiri

  • Chapter: 6
  • class: Machine Assassin
  • hero mission: inhumanity

Without a doubt, Segiri is the one most difficult hero to unlock. In order to be able to find the heroic mission at all, you have to complete a whole series of side missions in Colony 4. In the end, however, the effort pays off, since the robo-assassin teaches you the special talent of walking over poisonous surfaces unscathed.

Nia

  • Chapter: Post game
  • class: Way of life
  • hero mission: –

You can only recruit the Queen of Agnus after you have completed the main story. Then travel to Cloud festivals in Aetia and visit the Hall of Mysticism. After a short cutscene, you’ll unlock Nia. The Way of Life is the strongest healer class in the entire game.

melia

  • Chapter: Post game
  • class: Summoner
  • hero mission: –

Of course, you also unlock the Queen of Keves in the post-game. in the Keves Castle you can also look forward to a small cutscene before recruiting Melia for your party. Summoners can cast powerful elemental spells and launch devastating area attacks.
